Version 1.0 · Effective on public release
Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of the Wentfar mobile app and related Wentfar services. This version takes effect when Wentfar publicly launches. Earlier versions will be listed on this page when available.
Provider and acceptance
Wentfar is provided by Sokkio OÜ (registry code 17532051), an Estonian private limited company registered in the Estonian Commercial Register at Tartu maakond, Tartu linn, Tartu linn, Raua tn 20-15, 50106, Estonia. Contact: support@wentfar.com. By creating an account or using Wentfar, you agree to these Terms and our Community Guidelines. We require acceptance of the applicable Terms and Community Guidelines before you create user content.
Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 13 to use Wentfar. If you are under the age at which you can legally agree to these Terms where you live, you must have the permission required by applicable law. Keep your account information accurate and protect your sign-in credentials. Tell us promptly if you believe someone has accessed your account without permission.
The service
Wentfar is a free travel-planning and sharing service. It lets people plan trips, keep journals and lists, record expenses, share travel memories and media, use location-based travel features, and connect with other people. Wentfar does not transfer money between users. Features may change, be unavailable, or work differently when your device is offline or when we maintain or improve the service.
Permissions and safety
Some features need device permissions, such as location, photos, camera, microphone, or notifications. You can decide whether to allow them and change that choice in your device settings; the related feature may not work without the permission. The travel tracker is for recording a trip you choose to track. It is not an emergency, rescue, or safety-monitoring service.
Your content and shared trips
You keep the rights you have in the content you post. You give Wentfar the limited permission needed to host, process, display, and share that content only to operate the service according to your trip roles, privacy settings, and choices. Do not post content unless you have the right to share it. That permission ends when the relevant content is removed, except where a short period is needed for deletion, backups, dispute handling, or legal obligations.
Trip roles affect who can see or change shared content. Deleting your account can affect trips you own and trips you share with others. The deletion review explains any owned trips with other participants and lets you resolve them before deletion or choose to delete a trip for everyone. Other users’ independent content and necessary shared expense context can remain.
Community rules, reports, and blocking
You must follow our Community Guidelines. In particular, do not post illegal, abusive, threatening, hateful, sexually exploitative, privacy-invasive, infringing, impersonating, deceptive, spam, or scam content or behaviour. You can report content or people in the app or through our Report abuse page. You can also block another person in the app; blocking removes the connection and prevents the blocked relationship from being used for normal social interaction.
We target a response to reports within three business days. We may remove or limit content, restrict features, suspend an account, or take another proportionate action. We may preserve necessary report evidence while we investigate. If we take action affecting your account or content, we will provide available notice and a way to ask for review unless doing so would undermine safety, security, or a legal obligation. Reporting does not guarantee a particular outcome.
Ending use of Wentfar
You can stop using Wentfar at any time and request account deletion in the app or at wentfar.com/account-deletion. We may limit or suspend access when we reasonably believe that these Terms, the Community Guidelines, applicable law, or the safety of people or the service requires it. We will use urgent action only where needed and will provide notice and review where appropriate.
Changes, consumer rights, and disputes
We may update Wentfar and these Terms to reflect service, safety, or legal changes. We will post the current version and effective date here and give additional notice of material changes where appropriate. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.
If you are an Estonian consumer and we cannot resolve a complaint after you contact us in writing, you may submit the dispute to the Consumer Disputes Committee, Endla 10A, 10122 Tallinn, Estonia, avaldus@komisjon.ee, +372 620 1707. The Committee’s procedure and eligibility rules apply. Consumers may also have mandatory rights and forums in their country of residence.
Questions about these Terms can be sent to support@wentfar.com. Read our Privacy Policy, Support, and Report abuse pages for related help.
